Locally owned, fourth generation Schmidt Builders builds new homes in the greater Cincinnati area. Meet Our Team

Second generation new home builder, Alan Sr. is the Vice President of fourth generation Schmidt Builders of southwest Ohio and the owner of Alan Schmidt Construction in Northern Kentucky. The 1999 President of the Cincinnati Home Builders Association, Alan is passionate about the fact that Schmidt Builders has never missed a closing date since 1958!
A graduate of Northern Kentucky University with a degree in Construction Management, Alan Jr. is the President of Schmidt Builders. A member of the Cincinnati Home Builders Association Board of Directors, Alan is a third generation Cincinnati home builder who enjoys sports and spending time with family and friends.
From the humble beginnings of the family room, Judy has always been by the side of Alan Sr. (and Alan Jr.) with constant encouragement and support. Judy enjoys spending time with family and friends, many of which have been with she and Alan Sr. since their dating years!

Many Southern Ohio families are fortunate to be able to say, “My home was built by David Schmidt Jr.” The first employee of Schmidt Builders of Southwest Ohio, David has been building homes with us since he was 12 years old!

A Supervisor with Schmidt Builders for over three decades, Jim has worked hand in hand with both Alan Sr. and Alan Jr. A graduate of Ohio University, Jim is a favorite of the customers of Schmidt Builders and has recently completed the construction of our new Shannon Ridge Model Home.

Construction Manager for Schmidt Builders, Tim is a Management and Finance graduate of the University of Cincinnati. Celebrating over two decades with Schmidt Builders, Tim is active in all aspects of the company from design of our homes to the construction. Tim enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Celebrating over two decades with Schmidt Builders as an Administrative Assistant, Judy has had her hands in everything from Accounting to Closings. Judy attended Eastern Kentucky University. She enjoys spending her spare time with her family and friends and is a fan of college sports, especially basketball season!

A graduate of ITT Technical Institute in Dayton, Rick started his residential drafting and architectural career nearly 25 years ago. An avid Ohio State fan, Rick enjoys playing golf and bowling in his free time.

Schmidt Builders is pleased to welcome Trevor Schmidt to our team. The addition of Trevor allows us the distinct honor of now calling ourselves a fourth generation new home builder! During his free time, Trevor enjoys sports and spending time with friends.

Ryan attended the University of Cincinnati and is an avid fan of the Bengals and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. The married father of one special pup, Ryan enjoys playing softball and golfing in his spare time.

Working part time, Matt assists in a variety of administrative tasks within the office while finishing up high school. An avid swimmer, Matt enjoys spending with family and friends and exploring technology. When asked why he enjoys working at Schmidt Builders, he replied, “I just love learning!”

An experienced new homes Sales Manager, Jim oversees the sales process for Schmidt Builders in our communities across the greater Cincinnati area. Jim is a passionate animal advocate and can often be found volunteering in local shelters.

With 42 years of construction experience, Joe oversees the customer care needs at Schmidt Builders. Married for over 4 decades, Joe loves spending time with his wife, 5-year-old German shepherd, Gracy, and fishing.

Schmidt Builders is pleased to welcome Olivia Schmidt to our team. Continuing in her father and grandfather’s footsteps, Olivia is a welcome addition to our team. During her free time, Olivia enjoys playing volleyball and spending time with friends.

A year passes very quickly. Shirley and I are enjoying our home. We wanted to drop you a few lines to tell you, which we are sure is no surprise, what an outstanding job Joe Morgan does. Joe is very organized and respects your time by making appointments well in advance. He is very professional and proficient in his work and the end results. Joe gives advice and makes suggestions on how to maintain your home to prevent future issues. Joe is personable, very efficient and is an asset to your team. It was a pleasure working with him.
We had a wonderful experience buying our house from Schmidt Builders. We were included in the process of building our home from day one. Schmidt assisted us in adding in our own design features to several rooms, including expanding our garages to accommodate our camper and boat! Move in day started this past Friday and we couldn't be happier! We LOVE our new home and we're especially thankful for how easy you all were to work with. My wife and I relocated from Wisconsin, and only had a short period to house-hunt in person. In that time, we fell in love with a Schmidt Builders home that was still being built. It was a scary process buying a home that was not complete, but when we finally saw it complete in person we fell in love with it all over. Everything turned out great, and made for a very easy transition to a new state!
